Learner’s Path Guide

Learner’s Path Guide

Find your best way to learn languages. Click the image below, and type start to begin!

The Learner’s Path Guide will ask you if you are comfortable answering in English or prefer another language, and switches to that language if needed. Then, the Guide asks you questions about your learning background, followed by questions about your study habits (Lin & Reinders, 2019). The Guide first asks whether to do a short, medium, or long survey- this depends on your time and needs. It then asks each question one at a time- just type your answers. After you complete the surveys, the Guide analyses the results and provides personalised advice to help you find the best way for you to learn languages, including links to specific resources selected for you to help with language learning, etc.

As with any AI resources, there are points of caution. One is not sharing any personal information you’re not comfortable with.  Second is verifying advice or feedback received with other trusted sources- such as with language educators, tutors, reputable online sources, learning advisors or counsellors. The Learner’s Path Guide is intended as a yardstick to supplement, rather than replace, traditional forms of educational support. It is very much a developmental resource, and has not been systematically tested, so please treat it as such. Feedback at the form below is very welcome.

Note: unfortunately this feature is currently only available to GPTPlus subscribers, but hopefully this changes soon!
